This detailed workplace first aid course trains you to act safely and effectively in a medical emergency until professional help arrives. It covers the role and priorities of a first aider, scene safety and the primary survey (DRSABCD), the chain of survival, and infection control; life support including the recovery position, adult CPR, using an AED, child and infant CPR, and choking for adults, children and infants; trauma care including bleeding control, tourniquets and catastrophic bleeding, shock, burns, fractures and sprains, and head/neck/spinal injuries; and medical and environmental emergencies including heart attack and stroke (FAST), seizures, anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetic emergencies, heat illness and dehydration, and poisoning, bites and stings — finishing with the first aid kit, records and reporting. Guidance follows current international resuscitation and first aid recommendations (ILCOR / Resuscitation Council). This course builds knowledge and decision-making; it complements, and does not replace, hands-on training and assessment with a qualified instructor. In Saudi Arabia the emergency ambulance number is 997.
